Peace Of Mind
Our Budgeting Spreadsheets: Detailed spreadsheets were a key part of the reason we were able to rid ourselves of $130K worth of debt. We created budgeting spreadsheets that let you budget on a weekly, biweekly/semimonthly, and monthly basis! There’s an option for every budgeting style!
Haven Life Insurance: If you’re familiar with our story then you know we’ve witnessed first-hand what happens when a loved one dies without life insurance in place. If anyone depends on you (spouse, children, immediate family, etc.) then you NEED life insurance. Haven Life makes it easy to do everything online, in one sitting (no exam needed in most cases). Marcus by Goldman Sachs: We have been using the Marcus online savings account for 6+ years. Their interest rate is currently 2.25% compared to the 0.01% interest most of the other banks offer! Read our review.
Uber Visa Credit Card: This is the only credit card we use these days. It has NO yearly fee and it gets great cash back rewards: 4% back on dining, 3% on hotels/airfare, 2% for online purchases and 1% for everything else. Read: Are Credit Cards Bad?
Suze Orman Protection Portfolio: We are really good at organizing our paperwork and figuring out what documents we need to protect ourselves, but when we saw the HSN promo for this Suze Orman kit we fell in love. It helps you take the worry out of protecting you, your family, your assets and your money with an easy-to-use personal finance program and storage system.
Apps & Websites
Credit Sesame: You can create a FREE account to monitor your credit score and history. We are fans of knowing what your score is at all times. Not knowing can affect your ability to get approved for a mortgage, rent an apartment, get hired at certain jobs, maintain security clearances and more. It’s super easy to raise your credit score (on your own), so you should get started doing so today. And, you also get $50,000 worth of identity theft insurance when you sign up for your free account!
Udemy: Udemy helps people achieve their goals by offering a library of over 80,000 courses taught by expert instructors. This is where I found the Web Developer course that I’m currently taking. You can use our link to get most of their courses for only $9.99. (The courses are usually $100 – $200) Start learning today!
Ebates: This site has all sorts of discounts and coupon offers. We’re big fans of Ebates because you can earn cash-back instantly when you participate in their offers.
Goodbudget: We like the cash-envelope method for budgeting, but we aren’t the biggest fans of carrying actual cash. Goodbudget lets us still follow that method by using digital envelopes. Read our review.
Everydollar: This is another budgeting app that we have used. The Everydollar App is developed by Dave Ramsey’s team and it has his “Baby Steps” built right into it. It has a lot of options that you can customize to get your budget set up exactly the way that you want it to be. Read our review.
Make Extra Money
Food Delivery: Dannie delivers food as a side-hustle for Doordash, UberEats & Postmates. It’s super easy to sign up, flexible and pays well. Read our review: How I made $862 delivering food to strangers
FlexJobs: This is our personal favorite and a site that Dannie used and actually received a job offer from. It is ad-free and scam free. Each and every job listing is screened by their team of professionals. Only the legit work from home jobs are posted to their website. Use promo code “FRIEND30” for up to 30% off!
Rat Race Rebellion: RRR doesn’t boast an impressive list of 30,000 jobs like Flex Jobs, but it does have a healthy list of legit work from home jobs and gigs you can apply to in order to earn extra cash. It’s also free!
