A TV is a big purchase, but I have a friend whose husband bought a brand new truck for his business without talking to her first! That caused some tension for them.
I have curbed my impulse buying by staying away from my “trigger stores”, meal planning, and sticking to my shopping list. I also eat homemade breakfast, bring my lunch to work every single day, and keep coffee pods at my desk to avoid buying takeout.

In reply to Ebony J.. That is actually a really good idea in some cases. I think the $3.99 is worth the cost if it keeps you from just browsing the aisles and picking up random things. That's smart!

I totally agree. One thing I noticed is that I would go to the grocery store and spend double than what I originally planned. One change my family made, was to grocery shop online. For 3.99 service fee, I am able to stick to a budget. Get exactly what we need and nothing extra. Saving money in the long run.
