If so, most of our expenses are joint and we only have 5 or 6 things that are considered individual incomes.

There really aren’t any specific benefits to our method. It’s just something that we decided to do because it works for us. We have our separate checking accounts that we get our paychecks sent to, a joint checking account where we put all of our budgeting money, and a joint savings account where we save all of our leftover money.

It’s something we’ve been doing that just seems to work for us so we continued to do it. 🙂

Are there additional financial benefits? We have always put everything together but I’ve been curious about how to make separate but equal work.
